MCCC - Physical Therapist Assistant

APPLICATION TO COMMENCE THE PROFESSIONAL PHASE OF THE PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA) PROGRAM

1. Ensure that you meet all eligibility criteria:

Earned a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Completed all pre-requisite courses within their listed timeframes (refer to expiration dates)
Earned the minimum grade required for each pre-requisite course
All seven required pre-requisite courses must be completed and located on the MCCC transcript by the end of the spring semester in which an application was submitted
Attended a mandatory PTA Program Information Session prior to submitting an application
Not have been suspended or expelled from 91�� or dismissed from a Health Professions program at Mercer

3. Complete the online PTA application between April 1, 2026 and April 30, 2026:

Application is located on the right side of this page.
You will be asked to upload:
- The initialed and signed initials/signature page
- Unofficial transcripts from other academic institutions where pre-requisites were completed

4. Complete the Writing Skills Assessment Packet between April 1, 2026 and April 30, 2026:

Must be completed at the West Windsor Testing Center through their online appointment request form at: /student_services_testing.shtml
for the Student Course Testing Request Form.
You must have a Mercer Student ID when you make your appointment. If you do not have a student ID, you must first register to become an MCCC student.
